J. S. Bach: 300 years of the Passion according to St. John
On April 7, 1724, in the city of Leipzig, Johann Sebastian Bach's St. John Passion was performed for the first time. In 2024, when the 300th anniversary of its first performance is celebrated, it will be performed once again in Cuenca, in a production of the festival itself, with the participation of the SMR Orchestra and Choir of Cuenca, and the stage direction of the prestigious English choreographer Peter Leung.

J. S. Bach: 300 años de la Pasión según San Juan
El día 7 de abril de 1724, en la ciudad de Leipzig, sonaba por primera vez la Pasión según San Juan, de Johann Sebastian Bach. En 2024, cuando se celebra el 300 aniversario de su primera interpretación, sonará una vez más en Cuenca, en una producción propia del festival y que contará con la participación de la Orquesta y Coro SMR de Cuenca, y la dirección de escena del prestigioso coreógrafo inglés Peter Leung.
